
Dick is committed to both community and client service. He was appointed by the Governor to the State Ethics Commission, composed of five attorneys selected from throughout the state to monitor compliance with Maryland's ethics laws.
H. Richard Duden III
Dick has broad experience in complex civil litigation, including products liability, medical malpractice, and serious personal injury matters. His practice areas include insurance defense, juvenile and administrative law, appellate advocacy, workers compensation, lead paint defense and criminal litigation at both the District and Circuit Court levels. Before joining Hyatt & Weber, he represented a national insurance company as litigation counsel. He was also an Assistant State's Attorney with the Office of the State’s Attorney for Anne Arundel County.
Dick received his law degree from the University of Maryland School of Law and his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia. He is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association, the Prince George’s County Bar Association, the Anne Arundel Bar Association, the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
Dick served as chairman of the Annapolis Governmental Structure and Charter Revision Commission, and was appointed by the governor to the Maryland State Prosecutor Selection and Disabilities Commission and the Maryland State Ethics Commission. He is also involved in several professional and civic groups and has been an officer or board member for the Maryland Volunteer Lawyers Service, the Anne Arundel Bar Association, the Chesapeake Lacrosse Officials Association and the Annapolis Touchdown Club.
