County Impact Fees Update
January 23, 2008 - The County Council introduced Bill No. 6-08, which would dramatically increase impact fees for new development. The proposed legislation greatly impacts residential, commercial and office building projects. In addition, the County Council passed Resolution No. 8-08, for the purpose of permitting the Council to hire an outside expert to conduct an independent study on impact fees. The Resolution is in response to concerns from Council members over the original study upon which the County Executive based his impact fees legislation.
